Meet our team

Despite our recent beginnings, we have a skilled team with expertise and experience in many disciplines and sectors.

Di Kerbey

Di has been a social worker in the area of child protection since 2000 working for Local Authorities and Cafcass.

She has been a Christian for many years and, through her work, identified a need for churches to be able to reach out to the many hurting families within the community. Di believes that hope and love can be brought into the lives of these families through the power of prayer and being able to share the transforming love of Jesus. Green Door Families enables churches to offer this message of hope into their neighbourhood.

She was a trustee of Restore Hope West Somerset, a small Christian charity which aims to relieve the many and varied needs of families and individuals through making financial support available.

Di was also a trustee of The Minehead Hope Centre Trust which aims to show the love of Jesus Christ to all those with whom it comes into contact and especially relieving the needs of people who suffer from drug and alcohol addictions.

Di has four grown up children, and seven grandchildren and enjoys playing a variety of sports, especially tennis.

Dave Hall

Dave is a Chartered Accountant and runs an accountancy practise.  He has been involved with Green Door Families since its inception.

Dave is a committed Christians and active in his local church. He met his wife, Steph, at sixth form college and they have been married for 32 years with four children of their own and three long term foster children, as well as three grandchildren.

Colin Bennett

Colin is Vice-Principal (Development) and Director of Training for the Community and Family Studies Course at Moorlands Theology College.

Colin became a Christian whilst training as a Youth and Community Worker at Westhill College in Birmingham. Following his training, he worked in Birmingham and Sheffield on a variety of high-profile inner-city youth and community work projects.

He is a regular writer and speaks on family, youth and community issues. When he is not busy with College life, he enjoys various sports and, along with his whole family, is a keen football supporter.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"I have been working alongside this charity ever since it started and they have been excellent in the level of support that they have given to the clients that I have referred to them... to support individuals who are often socially isolated and facing times of crisis due to family events, debt, health, etc."
